Scuba diving
Inhambane is long established among divers. Manta Reef is the best known of the sites, famous for manta ray sightings and vibrant coral gardens, reached by boat dive or liveaboard.
Beyond the reefs, the season brings humpback whales close to shore, and night dives reveal an entirely different set of behaviour along the same coast.
